FAQ: Why Bountiful Doulas Is Becoming Utah Postpartum Care

Same team. Same mission. New name. Bigger impact.

From Two Best Friends in One Small Town…

…to a growing team of postpartum experts across Utah.

When we launched
Bountiful Doulas, we were just two best friends with a love for postpartum care and a shared dream of supporting families through the messy, magical months after birth.

What started in Davis County has quietly grown into something much bigger. As our team and reach expanded, so did our vision, and it's time for our name to reflect that.

We're excited to share that Bountiful Doulas is becoming Utah Postpartum Care.

Same heart. Same trusted services. A broader reach and an even stronger commitment to supporting postpartum families across our state.

Why are you rebranding?

Bountiful Doulas began in Bountiful, Utah, offering hands-on support to families in our local community. As we slowly grew into an agency and expanded our team, our service area naturally stretched beyond the city limits.

Soon, we weren't "just doulas" anymore:

  • McKayla became a certified sleep coach and later shifted to focus on perinatal nutrition.
  • Tiara became a newborn care specialist.
  • We expanded our team to include professionals certified in lactation, holistic sleep, and trauma-informed postpartum care.

With all that growth, the name "Bountiful Doulas" no longer reflected:

  • Our exclusive focus on postpartum care
  • The many Utah counties we now serve
  • Our vision is to make postpartum support accessible statewide

Utah Postpartum Care says exactly what we do, and opens the door to reach even more families across the state.

What's changing?

This is more than a name change. It's the next chapter in our commitment to postpartum families.

What's new:
  • A new name: Utah Postpartum Care
  • New website, logo, and domain (you'll still find us at Bountiful Doulas during the transition)
  • Updated materials
  • Postpartum meal delivery (coming soon)
  • Virtual and in-person classes, starting with newborn sleep education
  • Service expansion into new counties
  • Professional partnerships with therapists, IBCLCs, bodyworkers, and more
  • Offerings like nesting parties, registry planning, and babywearing consults

This will be a gradual rollout; if you still see "Bountiful Doulas" on a few pages or PDFs, that's totally normal. It's still us.

What's staying the same?

Everything you already know and trust:

  • The same postpartum-only focus
  • The same doula team and leadership
  • Our calm, grounded, and professional care
  • Our dedication to helping families rest, recover, and thrive after birth

If you've worked with us before, nothing about your care will change. You'll just see a new name on your emails and resources!

No action is needed.

What if I still see "Bountiful Doulas" online?

That's totally normal.

During our transition, you may see "Bountiful Doulas" on:

  • Old blog posts or newsletters
  • Past invoices or receipts
  • Downloadable PDFs or handouts

We're gradually updating everything. Until then, both names represent the same team.

Do you offer virtual support?

Yes! Our virtual services are available to families across Utah and beyond.

We offer:

  • Gentle sleep coaching
  • Feeding support and newborn education
  • Emotional support and postpartum planning

How is Utah Postpartum Care different?

We are a postpartum-specific agency. We're not birth doulas or your average postpartum support. Our care focuses exclusively on the fourth trimester and beyond. That means:

  • Our doulas are trained and specialize in postpartum, not labor support
  • We work with the whole family: baby, parent(s), and partner(s)
  • We address recovery, nourishment, sleep, mental load, and more

We're also one of the only Utah-based teams building:

  • Meal delivery into postpartum plans
  • Virtual classes and coaching
  • Collaborative care networks across the state

Can I refer someone or collaborate with your team?

Absolutely. We welcome:

  • Referrals from family, friends, and providers
  • Collaboration with birth workers, IBCLCs, therapists, and more
  • Partnerships with aligned brands or postpartum organizations
